1. Choose the right first call.
Your immediate situation comes before a towing quote. For an emergency, call 911 and follow the responding authorities’ instructions. Do not use this guide as a substitute for directions from emergency services at the scene.
Only use website tools when safely stopped. You do not need to inspect the vehicle, walk along the interstate, or find an exit sign before making a call. Say what you know and clearly identify what you do not know.
2. Describe where the vehicle is stopped.
Start with “I-95” and your direction of travel, when known. Then give a visible exit number, mile marker, road name, or nearby landmark. Explain whether you are before or after the exit and on the main roadway, an exit ramp, or a nearby street. Avoid guessing your travel direction from a map dot alone.
Our selected Palm Beach exit directory can help you match an exit number to a road name. It is a reference, not a route planner or coverage guarantee. The optional coordinate lookup on that page displays your device-reported position locally. You still need to call and read it out; no truck is requested by using the tool.
3. Explain the problem in ordinary words.
“The car won’t start” is enough to begin. Tell the provider your make and model and describe what happened without trying to diagnose it. For a flat, mention whether you have a usable spare. For a lockout, explain where the keys are. For fuel delivery, confirm the required fuel type. For a tow, discuss the destination and whether the vehicle rolls or steers.
Ask which service is suitable and whether the provider has the necessary equipment. A roadside request may turn into a towing discussion, but do not assume the price or terms remain the same.
4. Confirm the service before agreeing.
Ask who will perform the work, what the estimate includes, what could change the price, and what arrival estimate the provider can give. For towing, confirm both the pickup point and the destination. Ask how payment is handled and whether cancellation or waiting charges apply.
A website call button does not itself book, dispatch, or guarantee service. Wait for the provider to confirm the arrangement. If the circumstances change, contact the provider to update the request.
Road Rangers is a separate option.
Florida’s Road Rangers program provides limited no-cost highway assistance. FDOT directs motorists needing assistance to *347 and publishes coverage and operating-hour information. Program availability and the type of assistance are determined by the program, not by I95 Towing.
I95 Towing connects callers with independent private providers, whose prices and availability vary. We are not affiliated with FDOT, the Florida Highway Patrol, or Road Rangers. Private towing is not represented here as a free public service.
Official source: FDOT Road Rangers information. Consult the official page for coverage, hours, and alternatives when a carrier does not support *347.
